Gavin Cromwell won the Champion Hurdle and could win another championship race on Thursday.
A LARGE field of 15 is set to line up for Thursday’s highlight, the Paddy Power Stayers’ Hurdle (3.05pm), where Paisley Park will bid to join the likes of Big Buck’s, Inglis Drever and Baracouda as dual winners of this race.
Emma Lavelle’s stable star won the 2019 renewal impressively but he was a bitter disappointment 12 months ago when finishing a well beaten seventh. 
While some might have thought that was the end for the Andrew Gemmell-owned son of Oscar, he has bounced back in fine form this season. ....

Gold Cup contender makes a surprise entry into Stayers Hurdle
Gold Cup challenger Champ made a surprise entry in the 51 inclusions for the Paddy Power Stayers Hurdle Chase at Cheltenham Festival.
After securing the RSA last campaign, the nine-year-old now holds an entry ahead of the Gold Cup with his trainer Nicky Henderson, who claimed he had considered sending the horse to a conditions hurdle as prep.
The race may turn out to be left for Thyme Hill and 2019 victor Paisley Park, who ended up second behind his rival in the Long Distance Hurdle but emerged as the victor in the Long Walk Hurdle, to decide the winner. ....

Six-year-old Albert’s Back trained by Mick Easterby and ridden by champion jockey Brian Hughes gained a comfortable eight lengths win over Mcgowan’s Pass, with 2-1 favourite War Lord, third.
