After years of setbacks, Mayor LaToya Cantrell’s administration on Monday announced that construction will soon begin on the Mirabeau Water Garden, a signature "green" infrastructure project aimed at reducing street flooding by diverting storm runoff into new lagoons on a 25-acre parcel in Gentilly.
Wayne “Randy” Clayton, the director for the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Long Term Recovery Office, said Thursday last week that they are impressed with their contractors under their Permanent Housing Construction Program that has benefitted over 200 households on Saipan and Tinian whose homes were destroyed during Super Typhoon Yutu in 2018.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency turned over yesterday morning the keys to the 179th newly constructed home it built as part of a program to assist homeowners who lost their homes in the devastation of the Category 5 Super Typhoon Yutu in October 2018.
THE last home to be constructed under the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s permanent housing construction program is owned by Joaquina Agulto and is located in Chalan Kanoa.
THE Public Assistance Office on Tuesday concluded its site inspection and program delivery management training sessions with the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Public Assistance Program.
