WILMINGTON, N.C. - The Coastal Carolina softball team scored 12 times over the final five innings with a season-high 14 hits to come from behind to defeat the UNCW Seahawks (13-22),10-5, on Wednesday night at Boseman Field.
The victory improved the Chanticleersâ win streak to eight games and gets CCU back to .500 at 19-19 overall for the first time since February 28 with a 7-2 victory over Lipscomb.

Game 1
App State came out early in the first game, scoring its first run with two outs in the top of the first. Baylee Morton reached safely on a walk, followed by a bunt single from Kayt Houston. Morton was able to move to third on a throwing error by the second baseman. Mary Pierce Barnes then singled to bring in Morton and give the Mountaineers the 1-0 lead.
