Local Cub Scouts had a great time racing their pinewood derby cars at a Bend car showroom Saturday. Redmond's Pack 27 held their annual Pinewood Derby at Kendall Toyota of Bend. It is estimated that over 50 million kids have built pinewood derby cars during these 50 years throughout the world. Rules for Pinewood Derby are outlined here: https://www.scoutshop.org/pwd-rules. "Cub Scouts put their ingenuity into action by designing and painting pinewood derby cars. Cub Scouts do their best to prepare for race day, then show up to cheer on their car and fellow Cub Scouts.
