삼성중공업은 지난 2분기에 매출 1조7155억원, 영업적자 4379억원을 기록했다고 30일 밝혔다. 전년 동기 대비 매출은 1.4% 증가했고, 영업적자폭은 38% 가량 줄어든 수치다.
1분기보다도 개선된 수치다. 매출은 지난해 수주한 상선의 건조물량 증가로 9% 증가했고, 영업적자는 14% 축소됐다.

(창원·통영·경남 고성=연합뉴스) 이정훈 기자 = 대형조선업계 수주 호조에 이어 중형 조선업계도 10년이 넘는 구조조정을 마무리하면서 재기 발판을 마련했다.
2000년대 초중반, 세계적인 조선 호황기 때 경남을 중심으로 한 중소형 조선업체들은 지역경제에 큰 도움을 줬다.
그러나 2008년 세계 금융위기 후 선박 발주 급감, 수주 취소, 파생상품 거래손실 등으로 발생한 경영 위기로 중소형 조선소 상당수가 쓰러졌다.

SPP조선, 신아SB, 21세기조선, 삼호조선 등 1천 명 이상씩 고용하던 중소형 조선업체와 블록 제작 업체들이 대거 폐업했다.
거제시, 통영시, 고성군, 창원시 진해구 등 남해안 조선벨트 핵심 지자체는 현재까지 고용위� ....
