Five men alleged to be behind the mass killings in KwaNobuhle, which saw nine people mowed down in one day, abandoned their bids for bail on Wednesday.
As five men accused of killing nine people and wounding another were brought to court on Monday under heavy police guard, it emerged that at least three of them were out on bail at the time of the shootings on unrelated murder charges.
Five men charged with the murders of nine people and the attempted murder of another, appeared in the KwaNobuhle Magistrate’s Court on Monday, where their case was postponed to October 24.
