•Lansdale, Pennsylvania’s Boardroom Spirits has launched a new line of RTDs Vodka Iced Teas with a lemon-flavored canned cocktail. The 5.5% drink mixes Boardroom’s vodka with black tea and lemon flavoring, among other ingredients, and comes in 12-ounce cans. While the new line is launching with just one flavor, the company says that other fruit-flavored extensions are on the horizon. Boardroom’s Vodka Iced Tea Original Lemon is now available in 4- and 24-packs for $14 and $63, respectively.
•Los Angeles-based LiveWire Cocktail Co. has launched a new RTD in collaboration with bartender Erin Hayes. The new cocktail, called Rocket Queen (after Hayes’ favorite Guns n’ Roses song), is made with Magdalena rum, absinthe, pomello, cinnamon, and pandan, and comes in at 7.5% abv. LOS ANGELES LiveWire Cocktail Co. is pleased to announce the release of the first canned cocktail with Erin Hayes, former bar manager of Chicago’s famed tropical bar Lost Lake. Named Rocket Queen after Erin’s favorite Guns N’ Roses song, the rum-based drink is a bright and juicy mix of Magdalena Rum, absinthe, pomello, cinnamon, and pandan. The cans will be available in CA, NY, NJ, TX, and online for shipping to 46 states (SRP 19.99/4pk).
“Rum and tropical drinks are too often expected to be overly sweet and juicy,” says Erin, currently Partner and Director of Sales & Trade Advocacy for Portland, OR-based Westward Whiskey. “Rocket Queen turns that notion on its head with the balance of citrus, spice and complexity.
