LOS ANGELES, June 3 (Xinhua) The Huntington Library, Art Museum and Botanical Gardens, announced Thursday that it would open a new art gallery in its Chinese Garden this August with an exhibition of Chinese calligraphy as its inaugural installation.
The new gallery, the Studio for Lodging the Mind, or Yu Yi Zhai in Chinese, located at the north end of the garden, according to the famous collections-based research and educational institution in Southern California, the gallery is a 160-square-meter, light-and climate-controlled gallery space suitable for the display of works of art on paper or silk. ....

Wu Man, the world s finest player of the pipa (The New York Times), is joined by one of her Silkroad Ensemble bandmates, shakuhachi virtuoso Kojiro Umezaki, on a new album, Flow (流芳), released by In a Circle Records (ICR). The album is currently available for pre-order on Bandcamp (digital and physical) and will be available Friday, February 19, through Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon, and other major outlets.
