OFSTED: The ratings of every Slough school

OFSTED grade schools having once inspected them and grade them under one of four rankings. Grade one, or outstanding, is the highest score that can be achieved. These schools are exempt from routine inspections, unless they re nurseries, special schools or Pupil Referral Units (PRUs). Grade 2, or good, receive a one-day short inspection every three years, or a full inspection if the school’s performance has changed dramatically. Grade 3, or requires improvement, is awarded to schools that will require another full OFSTED inspection within two years in order to monitor their progress. Lastly, schools can be awarded a grade four, which means they re defined as inadequate . Schools graded as inadequate will receive regular OFSTED inspections.

Messages of praise has flooded in for teachers and staff from families across Slough thanking them for all of their support during the pandemic. Teachers and educational staff have worked tirelessly to adapt and overcome the challenges and pressures of the pandemic whilst minimising the impact of lockdown on children s learning is one of their main priorities. Last week we asked residents on the Slough Observer Facebook page if they had any schools or teachers they wanted to thank for their support during the pandemic. We were inundated with messages for the wonderful work of school staff with people commenting that every staff member was worthy of praise for all they have managed to achieve in such difficult circumstances.
