Police have pleaded with drivers to take notice of flood warning signs on a West Norfolk road.
Officers say two people were seen driving towards the waters on the A1101 at Welney overnight.
The route is currently closed and the water is estimated to be almost a metre deep.

A post on the King s Lynn Police Twitter feed this morning said: The A1101 at Welney is still flooded following heavy rain the last few days.
A couple of drivers were seen tonight to ignore signs and still drive towards the water measuring 94cm! ....

Gauges along a Norfolk river have reported record levels for more than three decades in the wake of flooding in the region.
Several gauges along the River Thet and Little Ouse showed water levels rose to more than 1.20m over the Christmas period - the highest levels on the river since 1987.
At Abbey Heath, in Thetford, levels stayed above 1.10m between 10.30pm on Boxing Day and 3am on Monday, December 28.
Across the region many people have said they have never seen the water levels so high, after a month s worth of rain fell in 24 hours. ....

Norfolk travel warning following major incident after floods

People in Norfolk are today being urged not to travel unless its essential after firefighters took more than 300 calls relating to flooding in just 12 hours.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service are still dealing with a number of incidents across the county with South Norfolk particularly badly affected by flooding.
At its height more than 50 fire engines were deployed to various incidents across the county
The A11 is closed at the A1075 junction at Thetford while the A140 at Long Stratton is just about passable after being flooded. ....

Thetford could see new pathway along scenic river route

“In addition, there is a trip hazard where the path joins the existing tarmac approach to the Blaydon Bridge which we hope will be addressed by the new path.
“The route will also help add to the amenity of Thetford s river corridor by making it more accessible.
The scheme fits with the town s long-term vision of making more of this wonderful asset and encouraging walking and cycling in the town. If successful the scheme would be delivered in the 2021/22 financial year.”
A new pathway could be built along the the river in Thetford, running from the Priory to the Blaydon Bridge. ....
