Brindisi sent a letter to Lamica and the village board in late March stating that his client had not yet been given a chance to see or respond to the complaint and calling for a retraction of any and all defamatory statements against him. The letter warned of the possibility of legal action against the village.
Brindisi’s letter also included a request under the Freedom of Information Law for copies of any complaints against Conover, investigations into the complaint or complaints and copies of any policies and procedures he is alleged to have violated, as well as copies of any written notifications informing Conover he is the potential subject of disciplinary action as outlined in the collective bargaining agreement. Ilion firefighters are represented by the Ilion Firefighters Association, Local 1185.

The Village of Ilion entered into a shared services agreement with the city of Little Falls.

ILION, N.Y. - The Village of Ilion entered into a shared services agreement with the city of Little Falls. The agreement would mean Little Falls Fire Chief Rob Parese would serve temporarily as Ilion s Fire Chief, 2 times a week. The agreement also means that Ilion s treasurer will help out the Little Falls Treasurer.
Early in the meeting before the vote, the Village Board went into an executive session which was closed to the public to discuss a personnel matter.
