By Heplerbroom issued the following announcement on May 25. Sarah Jansen has been recognized by the Illinois Defense Counsel (IDC) for her key role in a recent favorable appellate court ruling. Jansen was cited for her “pivotal” writing in the appellee’s brief. The underlying case was a wrongful death action. The trial court found appellees had no contractual or common law duty to clean up debris that purportedly affected a roadway drainage system, and the appellate court affirmed the trial court’s judgment in favor of appellees.
