Redeployment of gardaí within Kerry to areas with a high number of tourists is being considered for the summer months.
At the recent Joint Policing Committee meeting, several county councillors asked the council and An Garda Síochána if they had the resources to deal with the busy summer that s expected in Kerry.
Chief Superintendent of the Kerry Garda Division, Eileen Foster, said the county will get very few additional resources for the summer, but there will be policing plans in place.

Councillors expressed concerns about garda resources in certain areas of Kerry, that will receive a massive increase in visitor numbers during the summer. ....
