Annabel Neasham was unlucky not to snare her maiden stakes win with Mo’unga in the Randwick Guineas last Saturday but the emerging trainer ticked the milestone at Canberra on Monday.
Promising colt Equation had won two of three coming into the Canberra Guineas (1600m) and added to that handy record as he held off a fast finishing Kermanding to win the 2021 edition of the Listed event.
“He’s done nothing wrong in four starts and he’s got bigger and better things to in store,” Neasham told Sky Thoroughbred Central.
“It wasn’t quite the Randwick Guineas, but it felt like it with the owners we’ve got here.”
