On Thursday, March 23, the Lisle Heritage Society will host "History of On-the-Spot Emergency Medical Care." Fifty years ago, there were no ambulances, EMTs, or paramedics. Paul Ciolino will talk about Dr. Stanley M. Zydlo Jr. and his creation of the first emergency medical services program in the world.
The Lisle Heritage Society and Lisle Park District invites the community to "Once Upon A Christmas," a holiday tradition in Lisle featuring old-fashioned, festive fun for the entire family.
There are 84 veterans interred at Lisle Cemetery. These honored dead served in conflicts dating back to the War of 1812. We will never forget their sacrifices.
