We only had a handful of correct guesses for last week’s Mystery Photo taken at the Lisbon Community Garden on South Street in Lisbon Falls. Several of the entrants mentioned that the building in the background was the old Lisbon High School. One mentioned it was designed by William R. Miller, a renowned turn-of-the-century architect who specialized in richly ornamented Romanesque and French-Revival buildings. It opened in 1905 and closed in 1951. In 2011 Greater Brunswick Housing Associates turned it into 13 apartments for seniors and renamed it Campus Commons. Our winner, Susan White, said she had no problem identifying where the photo was taken, as she lives across the street and looks out her window at the garden. She will receive a $20 Hannaford Supermarket gift card. ....
