The coronavirus crisis, flocking to parks on a beautiful spring day with the weather looking good again today. Shoppers across the south, meanwhile, heading to the malls from georgia to texas. But in other places frustration and anger as pockets of protesters fight the restrictions imposed in their states. Here is the latest this morning. Seven more states will begin to partially reopen for business. They are arizona, florida, indiana, minnesota, missouri, nebraska and new hampshire. All roads into and out of the city of gallop, new mexico, have been blocked as the governor says the coronavirus is, quote, running amuck there. Meanwhile, there are now 1. 1 million cases of coronavirus in the United States, and more than 66,000 deaths so far. Much more on those starts of the story in a moment. The St. Helena Unified School District is academically outperforming many similar districts, but officials see room for improvement, especially in math.
The St. Helena Unified School District refinanced some of its general obligation bonds earlier this month, in a move that district officials say will save taxpayers over $1.4 million.
