Chatham-Kent Health Alliance’s urology service has officially returned with the restored operating room theatre now open to patients.
The service left the Health Alliance in 2015, but hospital officials announced plans to bring it back more than two years ago. Dr. Hamidreza Abdi joined the hospital as its urologist last year and began establishing his practice. ....

Several students graduating from St. Clair College’s bachelor of science in nursing program will be graduating with a resumé that includes experience working during a pandemic.
Hannah Collins, 41, of Chatham is among those hired by the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance to work at the local COVID-19 assessment centre.

Collins said working at the assessment centre has been “an eye-opener that (COVID) is real, that some people are very sick.”
