Lisa Monet Zarza, who repeatedly violated Gov. Tim Walz s COVID-19 executive orders by keeping the Lakeville bar open last December and January, said this week she s selling both establishments, according to Sun This Week and FOX 9. Zarza s decision to keep the Alibi Drinkery open in defiance of the indoor bar service shutdown as cases, hospitalizations and deaths from COVID-19 peaked was the subject of multiple legal actions from state authorities and led to the suspension of her liquor license. A trial is slated to begin in July. ....

Tim Walz s executive orders at her Lakeville restaurant. The vote came after Northfield Police Chief Mark Elliott recommended the liquor license not be renewed, citing Alibi Drinkery s repeated violations of the governor s executive orders, including serving unmasked customers indoors, which led to lawsuits and license suspensions, according to City Council documents.
