KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 10): The main index at Bursa Malaysia pared some of its gains at mid-morning today as investors turned cautious amid muted trading at regional markets.
Local investors are also awaiting the fourth quarter 2020 gross domestic product (GDP) data to be released by Bank Negara Malaysia on Feb 11.
At 10am, the FBM KLCI was up 1.3 points at 1,587.43. The index had earlier risen to a high of 1,592.27.
Losers overtook gainers by 503 to 317, while 398 counters traded unchanged. Trading volume was 1.41 billion shares valued at RM853.51 million.
The gainers included Widetech (M) Bhd, PPB Group Bhd, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, RCE Capital Bhd and Ann Joo Resources Bhd.

At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI was up 1.05 points at 1,587.18. The index had earlier risen to a high of 1,592.27.
Losers led gainers by 443 to 274, while 731 counters traded unchanged. Trading volume was 2.97 billion shares valued at RM1.83 billion.
The gainers included Ann Joo Resources Bhd, Hartalega Holdings Bhd, Cymao Holdings Bhd, Euro Holdings Bhd, Widetech (M) Bhd, Aeon Credit Service (M) Bhd and Paragon Union Bhd.
The actively traded stocks included Dagang NeXchange Bhd, AirAsia X Bhd, EA Holdings Bhd, Velesto Energy Bhd, Iris Corp Bhd, Lion Industries Bhd, Opcom Holdings Bhd, AirAsia Group Bhd, Yong Tai Bhd and Foundpac Group Bhd.
KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 28): The main index at Bursa Malaysia pared some of its gains at the midday break Monday as index-linked glovemakers retreated following the rollout of vaccines in several countries.
At 12.30pm, the FBM KLCI was up 5.84 points to 1,647.01. The index had earlier risen to a high of 1,655.96.
Gainers led losers by 460 to 300, while 760 counters traded unchanged. Trading volume was 5.08 billion shares valued at RM2.15 billion.
The gainers included KESM Industries Bhd, Hong Leong Financial Group Bhd, Carlsberg Brewery Malaysia Bhd, Greatech Technology Bhd, Ajinomoto (M) Bhd, Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd, CN Asia Corp Bhd, KPower Bhd and Public Bank Bhd.
