PLYMOUTH – Police are investigating complaints that rings are missing from two women who recently died at BID-Plymouth hospital.
Capt. Kevin Manuel said relatives filed complaints after finding the items were missing when they went to collect their deceased relative s belongings.
The first complaint was filed by a Rehoboth woman whose grandmother died at the hospital Jan. 28. She told police on Feb. 2 that the 84-year-old Middleborough woman’s diamond ring was missing when she went to collect her belongings from the hospital.
Manuel said a preliminary investigation indicates that at least one nurse at the hospital remembered seeing the ring before the woman died. ....
