As winter’s frost blankets the city of Grand Forks, a beacon of holiday cheer emerges at Lincoln Drive Park with the annual “Christmas in the Park.” Since 2002, the Grand Forks Lions Clubs have transformed the park into a festive scene, aglow with lights from local businesses, churches, and civic organizations. With an entrance fee.
“I grew up on the other end of this as a kid doing it,” Sam Roy, a member of Alpha Chi Omega, said. “So I saw that we could volunteer and I was like, I want to do it.”
