The chevron deference where court has said if it s reasonable, we will allow administrative agencies to interpret congress s statutes. what conservatives have been fighting for in recent years is for the supreme court to say, no, we don t want to defer to the administrative agencies, we want to tie what administrative agencies can do much more closely to the words of the statutes. what that would mean in real life is it would limit the power of administrative agencies to attack problems in any sort of meaningful way. in this case, it s about climate change. it s about whether the environmental protection agency has the authority to pass rules that limit greenhouse gases. that is not that s the issue in this case. ....
