By Justin Sokeland WBIW.com BEDFORD – That distinct sizzling sound, like the crackling of bacon on a Saturday morning, like the burning of wood in the fireplace on a cold winter night, was radiating from Chloe McKnight. Bedford North Lawrence’s senior super shooter, with the flick of her right wrist, became basketball’s version of the Human Torch, on fire and fantastic. Forcing turnovers at the accumulative rate of a heavy snowstorm, the Class 4A No.6 Stars overwhelmed Eastern Pekin the first round of the Limestone Classic on Tuesday morning. Eastern Pekin replaces Forest Park in Limestone Classic at BNL – WBIW

December 21, 2020 BNL senior Jenna Louden and the 4A No.7 Stars will face Forest Park in the morning round of the Limestone Classic on Tuesday. By Justin Sokeland WBIW.com BEDFORD – Anyone who has walked through the hallway where the state championship team photos adorn the walls, anyone who has stared up at the banners waving softly in the northeast corner of BNL Fieldhouse, knows the impact of Austin “Pete” Pritchett. He’s the Godfather of Bedford North Lawrence basketball, the Hall of Fame coach, the giant gentleman who directed the Stars to two state championships and established the program as one of Indiana’s best. Everything linked to the tradition of BNL centers on the bear of a man who towered over his kids and demanded their best.
