I write you as the Chair of the Oxford Coalition for Social Justice. Like South Bruce, our community is faced with the prospect of a leaking dump putting toxicants into our drinking water. The proposed nuclear dump violates local residents’ confidence in their drinking water supply and it means that those who live on Lake Huron and downstream on the Lower Great Lakes have reasonable concerns about drinking water safety.

An unfair burden is being put upon on residents of South Bruce and an unfair consequence foisted on Americans and Canadians. I know that the people of South Bruce will want to be honourable to their neighbours near and far; A referendum in the community would tell all clearly where South Bruce stands. That vote cannot come soon enough. ....
