New program offers tree ‘adoptions’
The city of Los Altos, the Los Altos Chamber of Commerce and the Los Altos Village Association co-sponsored a new holiday program, Trim a Tree @ Los Altos, that encouraged businesses, community organizations and residents to adopt and decorate a tree.
The program features 61 decorated trees throughout three Los Altos business districts: downtown, Rancho Shopping Center and Loyola Corners. Each tree includes an ornament listing the adopter, event sponsors and a QR code to the tree map, marking each holiday tree’s location. The trees are on display through Jan. 3.
