Belding applies for grant to improve Lightning Bend Park

BELDING The city of Belding is applying for a grant that, if approved, will result in improvements to a park near the Flat River.
The Belding City Council unanimously approved a resolution authorizing an application to the Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund (MNRTF) for improvements to Lightning Bend Park. The vote took place during the council’s virtual meeting Tuesday, Feb. 16.
Belding s Recreation Advisory Board adopted a five-year community recreation plan. The first phase of the plan includes improvements to Lightning Bend Park, which is located on the city s east side near the Flat River. ....
