Good afternoon. The foreign secretary lord cameron has demanded a full explanation from israel, after an air strike in gaza that left seven aid workers dead, some of them british. The charity they worked for says their convoy was hit by an israeli air strike just after theyd unloaded food aid at a warehouse in the city of deir al balah. The israeli Prime Minister hasjust described it as an unintentional strike. Israel says it is investigating. From jerusalem, our middle east correspondent Yolande Knell reports. There were no survivors. Cars and aid convoy were hit directly. Even with the World Central Kitchen logos clearly displayed, and, the us charity says, prior Co Ordination with the israeli military. Displaced gazans staying in tents nearby heard the blast and ran to try and help. Translation this is our situation. Anyone who distributes aid or brings it to gaza is exposed to shelling and death, whether it is an International Organisation or not. Distressed colleagues of the seven
Degree, again, ahead of the rain in the south west we could see temperatures of 1a or 15, but that rain will move north war, this evening and overnight, across england and wales, up into scotland, and Northern Ireland later on in the night. Night. And there will be a lot of cloud round, less cold than last night. We have the rain to begin with though, in northern england, that will move northwards, stay wet for much of scotland and also for Northern Ireland, and there could be heavier showers in northern england, the odd shower further south but hopefully a bit more sunshine than today. Temperatures not changing too much, really, for england and wales but further north in scotland and Northern Ireland, it may be just that bit colder, tomorrow, in a north easterly wind. But we have got the winds from the South West Bringing in more rain you can see it is one area of low pressure, after another, after another and we will see more rain pushing across england and wales on wednesday night.
