Come Boating! Winter Adventure Series talks with Doug Welch Event Location: Event has passed Come Boating! Belfast’s Community Boating Organization and the Belfast Free Library are teaming up once again to offer the Winter Adventure Series. This year the series of three evening programs about adventures on the water will be offered virtually. The first program, on Tuesday, Jan. 12, at 6:30 p.m., will feature a presentation by Doug Welch, executive director of The Maine Island Trail Association (MITA). Welch will show his film To Row and Let Go, about his experiences with ocean rowing, building a boat at the legendary Wooden Boat School, and exploring 34 islands on the Maine Island Trail. ....
