国家文物局党组副书记、副局长顾玉才在主旨发言中回顾了习近平总书记对革命纪念馆的工作的重视以及作出的重要论述，指出下一步国家文物局将统筹推进革命纪念馆建设，加强征集、研究，陈列展览提质增效，推进主题教育入脑入心，拓展宣传传播，以革命纪念馆建设守护红色根脉，使之成为记载、见证中华民族伟大复兴的见证地，保护好、管理好、运用好革命文物资源。
“革命纪念馆和其中珍藏的文物就是建党精神的生动载体和鲜活见证。”原中央文献研究室副主任陈晋说，中国共产党建立时，所有的资源都掌握在革命对象手中，但是革命理想爆发出巨大的精神力量，据统计，为建立新中国牺牲的烈士中，仅有名有姓者就多达370万人，也就是说28年间平均每天牺牲近370人。10位开国元帅中7位受过重伤� ....
