Cold weather descends on Space Coast, prompting wind chill warnings, shelter openings

The Sunshine State will wake up to bone-chilling cold as temperatures settle across the region Tuesday.
The wintry blast brings dry weather and has prompted privately-run cold weather shelters to open for the homeless and those without adequate heating. 
A wind chill advisory was set to go into effect at 1 a.m. Tuesday with actual temperatures in the mid-to-low 30s and 40s around Central Florida, but wind chill values that feel like 26 to 33 degrees on the human skin.
