The number of sustainable share funds around the world surged beyond 2000 this month, doubling within two years as asset managers rush to unveil new offerings in one of the hottest corners of financial markets.
Equity exchange traded funds and managed funds globally focused on environmental, social and governance (ESG) and socially responsible investing hit 2024 last week, up 18 per cent since the year and marking a twofold jump since October 2019, according to EPFR Global, a data provider.
Assets in listed environmental, social and governance funds surpassed $US1 trillion in April.Â
