Brevard County firefighter saves ducklings in West Melbourne

Two tiny ducklings needed saving Saturday in West Melbourne, and a local fire department says they re safe thanks to a firefighter s quick work. The ducklings were caught in a shallow drain at the Your Life Assisted Living facility. Fortunately, there was no fowl weather and the drain was not full of water, the department said in a Facebook post.Brevard County Fire Rescue sent a truck to help. Firefighter Chris Baker was able to make the save. The crew pretty much had to wing it and closed off any exits in the drain and gathered them in one area and one by one each duckling was plucked out of the water and given to the momma, they wrote.The fire department shared a photo of a firefighter holding the ducklings on social media, dubbing him a duck whisperer. The department s post also quips: .nobody is getting a bill. ....
