Minister Fikile Mbalula releases preliminary festive season fatalities statistics

PRETORIA: The Minister of Transport, Mr. Fikile Mbalula, Limpopo Transport and Community Safety Member of the Executive Council (MEC), Ms. Mavhungu Lerule-Ramakhanya, and the Road Traffic Management Cooperation (RTMC ) Chief Operations Officer (CEO), Advocate. Makhosini Msibi will tomorrow, Tuesday, release the 2020 Festive Season Preliminary Road Statistics.
At the launch of the Festive Season Road Safety Campaign in Polokwane, the Minister announced that this year’s road safety target is 20% from the 2019 10% which was achieved. The Minister, MECs responsible for road safety and the RTMC CEO led road safety operations throughout the country encouraging responsible driver behavior.
The Minister, MECs, and CEO continue to lead intensified awareness campaigns and law enforcement operations. ....
