The Alabama Department of Public Health is warning that scammers pretending to work there are calling people asking for personal information.
North Alabamians are reporting scam calls where the caller says they work for the Alabama Department of Public Health, but then, they start asking the recipient to tell them their personal medical information.
Consumers are getting calls from someone claiming to be from the Alabama Department of Public Health and asking a lot of questions about their medical history, insurance information, personal information that would not be obtained by the Alabama Department of Public Health, said Belinda McCormick. ....

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) - Two suspects wanted in a statewide vehicle break-in investigation are now in custody.
According to Lieutenant Jesse Sumlin with the Huntsville Police Department, the U.S. Marshals Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force arrested 23-year-old Ro’daryus Mitchell and 18-year-old Jae’ Vontea Taylor on December 8 in connection to the break-ins.
The two suspects are accused of breaking into 72 cars at hotel parking lots throughout Huntsville from the end of September to early October. ....
