Patricia Ann Ireland, or “Tish” as she was known to her friends and community, and “Dani” as she was known to her grandchildren. Transitioned from her earthly body on July 21, 2021, while she was surrounded by her loved ones in Ontario Oregon.
Tish was born on January 8, 1933 to Dr. Roderic and Vera Belknap in Ontario, Oregon. Younger of two children, her childhood was shaped by watching her father’s medical practice in rural Oregon and growing up during World War II. With an almost encyclopedic memory, Tish would tell her grandchildren about Oregon’s history and her childhood during World War II. These stories include the Tish’s contribution of her family’s civil war cannon ball to the war effort (unbeknownst to her parents), assisting her father in medical emergencies, the horrors of the wrongful internment/racist treatment of her Japanese friends, and the neighborhood children’s discovery of Fu-Go or fire balloon in t ....

Claudia Kay Montague Widmer, 72, cherished wife, mother, Nana and friend died at her home in Ontario, OR on June 13, 2021 after a short battle with metastatic breast cancer and chronic lymphocytic leukemia.
Claudia was born February 25, 1949 in Tacoma, WA to Lloyd Montague and Blanche Peterson. She was the only child of their union. Her early years were spent in WA and AK as Lloyd was stationed there. Blanche and Claudia moved to Vale, OR in the mid 1950’s to care for Blanche’s aging parents. She graduated from Vale Union H.S. in 1967, then went to TVCC in Ontario before transferring to Oregon College of Education in Monmouth, OR where she completed her bachelor’s degree in English with her teaching certificate in 1971. She completed her student teaching at North Salem High School in Salem, OR then taught her 1st full year 1971-1972 at North Marion High School in Aurora, OR where she taught English, Drama, and Speech. This is the story of Judy Gay (Sproul) White. Judy was a wonderful woman who was loved, is missed beyond imagination, and will always be cherished. Judy was an amazing wife, mom, grandma, daughter, sister, farming partner, nurse, church pianist, weather tracker, and creator of the world’s most coveted fruit salad recipe.
Judy’s story started on July 21, 1948, born in Tacoma, Washington, and adopted by Gilbert and Nellie Sproul of Ontario, Oregon. She and her siblings lived a happy farming life on the Oregon Slope and she became involved in 4-H, showing dairy animals at the Malheur County Fair and Oregon State Fair. It was her award-winning dairy showmanship at the fair that drew her future husband, Larry, to her, as they competed against each other (and she won). ....
