Libya's Anti-Corruption Commission accredited by United Nations

London, 11 December 2020:
Libya’s National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) announced yesterday that the United Nations Office on Crime and Drugs (UNODC) has approved it as the competent Libyan national authority for the UNODC to deal with in matters of fighting corruption and crime.
The NACC stated that this is a prominent national achievement at the international level for the state of Libya and a positive step towards investing the United Nations Convention Against Corruption in the correct and required manner.
It added that this accreditation is a real breakthrough to activate the role of the NACC at the international level in accordance with the regulations of the UNODC, as it is the legal basis for international cooperation in combating corruption, crimes and preventing it between states party to the convention. ....
