Liberty Orchards finds a buyer to keep Aplets & Cotlets production going June 1, 2021 at 8:24 am

Liberty Orchards, the makers of the Aplets & Cotlets, will remain open after all.
Aplets & Cotlets, a strongly flavored variation on a fruit candy known as “Turkish Delight,” have been a Northwest fixture for decades. But in March, they announced they were going away forever.
Now, according to Liberty Orchards’ website, the company is still open. They had planned to close on June 1, but “are pleased to announce that the company is currently negotiating with a prospective buyer.”

In a Facebook post, Aplets and Cotlets, the chewy and iconic Washington confection out of Cashmere, announced they will remain open and continue operations like normal after they were expected to shut down in June.
In the post they said the maker of the candy, Liberty Orchards, is currently in negotiations with a prospective buyer.
The Facebook announcement on Friday, May 28 received over 100 comments, 400 likes and 700 shares.
