For the third consecutive week, Liberty s Chelsea Igberaese has been honored as ASUN Conference Women s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. Meanwhile, fellow thrower Kyle Mitchell was named ASUN Men s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week, the fifth ASUN weekly honor of his career.
A redshirt junior from Dacula, Ga., Igberaese was victorious in the women s weight throw at the Virginia Tech Challenge on Friday. Her winning mark of 65-1.5 outdistanced the runner-up by more than seven and a half feet as Igberaese picked up her third straight weight throw victory.
