C-CERP commemorates Wildlife Week in Jalukie

Dimapur, Oct. 16 (EMN): Care-Centre for Environment and Rural Poor (C-CERP), in collaboration with the Forest, Environment and Climate Change, commemorated the Wildlife Week on October 7 at St. Xavier Higher Secondary School in Jalukie town under Peren district on the theme “Recovering key species for eco-system restoration.” An update from the organisation stated that Alemla Aier from department of Land Resources, Peren, graced the programme by lighting a candle signifying to keep up the burning desire to act towards the recovery wildlife species for eco-system restoration. On the occasion, speeches were delivered by Alemla Aier; Jongponglemba, ACF; Punseni Khing, range officer; and Rev. Fr. Mhasikholie Martin, vice principal of St. Xavier Higher Secondary School. The keynote address was delivered by Liangsi Niumai, C-CERP director.
