LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 14, 2021) The UK HealthCare Hand Center at Turfland, a dedicated center for the diagnosis and treatment of hand, wrist, and forearm concerns is open for patients. Whether the result of trauma, overuse, or traumatic issues, patients of all ages can be seen by a team of specialty-trained hand surgeons and hand therapists.
“Hand pain affects every aspect of everyday life, and it can range from frustrating to debilitating,” said Dr. David Drake, director of the Hand Center. “With this new dedicated team, we can efficiently help more patients get back to doing the things they love.”
The UK HealthCare Hand Center, the only comprehensive hand surgery service serving central, southeast and Eastern Kentucky, works closely with other medical specialties, including fellowship-trained musculoskeletal radiologists, orthopaedic sports medicine doctors, rheumatologists, and physical medicine and rehabilitation doctors.
