One of our highest priorities in the Madison Local School District is the safety of our students and staff. We feel very strongly about the relationship that we have developed with the Richland County Sheriff s Office and the support that they provide for our district, Peterson wrote in an email. In recent years, we have contracted with the sheriff s office to have a school resource officer on staff in our district in order to help keep our students and staff safe.
