Staff Reports Modified: 5/12/2021 9:04:04 PM The Athol High School boys basketball program will have a new coach next season. The school announced the hiring of Brian Patria as its new varsity boys basketball coach in a press release Tuesday. Patria will replace Dan Bevis, who stepped down at the conclusion of this past season for personal reasons. Bevis, who is also the athletic director at the school, had led the program for the past five seasons. A 1994 graduate of Athol High School, Patria will step into his new position after nine seasons as the assistant varsity coach. He is a longtime resident of Athol and was a member of the football, basketball and baseball teams during high school. Bulletin Board: Mother’s Day Plant Sale to support Frontier baseball team Staff Reports Published: 5/3/2021 10:11:20 PM The second annual Fairview Farms Mother’s Day Plant Sale to support Frontier baseball will be held on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. outdoors at the South Deerfield Senior Center.  There will be a wide selection of 10-12 inch hanging baskets and patio pots along with various annuals, round pots and bedding plants.  Safety and social distancing measures will be in place.  Youth softball GGSL Addison Martin smacked four hits and Lily Marciano added a trio of hits to help Precision Driving School edge past Elks Club, 2-0, in Greenfield Girls Softball League Lil Nippers action Monday at Murphy Park.
