Located at
437 Enos Reed Drive near the intersection of Murfreesboro Road and Fesslers Lane, the 2.5-acre property for years had accommodated Rapid Ways Truck Leasing, a business that Penske also acquired Monday for an undisclosed sum. The business will operate as a Penske location and is home to 13 employees, according to the company.
The seller of the business and property was Westfall-Odell Motors Inc. and Jebb Realty Co., a merged entity created via Kansas City-based Rapid Ways Inc. The latter entity acquired the property in 1979 for $212,000, according to Metro records. Rapid Ways was founded in 1955.
Penske Truck Leasing Co. LP is the new owner of the property. Headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania, the company is a joint venture of Penske Corp., Penske Automotive Group, and Mitsui & Co. It generated $8.4 billion in revenue for the 2020 fiscal year. With this transaction, the Greater Nashville area is home to eight Penske-owned businesses.
