The waterloo cedarfalls courier reports the lawyer filed to dismiss that lawsuit, after the settlement was reached on friday. Back in 2012, police say they saw ambrose pointing a gun at a crowd of people outside the new world lounge. A 2013 grand jury decided not to charge the officer in the case. As part of the settlement with the family, the city and officers admitted no wrongdoing. Cedar Rapids Police had a busy friday night investigating three separate shootings.
