British Columbia has approved the use of an updated Taser weapon for officers around the province to use as a less-lethal weapon during police confrontations.
The Falmouth Police Department is requesting $30,736 to buy new, less-lethal shotguns that shoot beanbag rounds rather than live ammunition. The guns would replace the department’s 30-year-old Remington rifles.
