September is a month of milestones for Hope’s Corner, the Mountain View nonprofit that provides meals, warm showers and other necessities to the unhoused and underserved.
According to a statement from the Toronto Zoo released last Friday, popular animal attraction “Sad Frank,” purportedly the “world’s saddest lion”, was, at long last, granted sweet release from the pain and misery of his mortal life.
“We’re sure going to miss that old guy,” said zookeeper Stephen
Hope s Corner, which provides free meals to people in need, recently served its 100,000th meal. In the last year, the Mountain View nonprofit has more than doubled its services to meet increased needs during the pandemic.
