Fairfield Memorial Hospital's Senior Life Solutions will hold their Coffee Club from 9:30am – 10:30am today in the Fairfield Memorial Hospital Café. The event is open to anyone interested in attending. You do not have to be a participant in the Senior Life Solutions program to attend. According to Amy Hart of WADI, Salvation Army collections for the holidays start today. Because of the Salvation Army last year, 18 families received help with utilities, gas cards, rent, doctor's appointments, and similar items. Hart says she would like to have a diverse group of bell-ringers for the season. Anyone with questions, or who wants to volunteer, can call WADI at 618-842-2962. The Fairfield Festival of Lights kicks off tonight from 5-8 at Leo French Park as Mayor Mike Dreith and his wife Carol, will be the greeters. The festival will be open Saturday from 5-8 and Sunday from 5-7. Following Sunday, the Festival of Lights will close, then resume with greeters on Friday, December 3.
