Duet for Two Hands would later be referred to as a ‘horror play’ in publicity descriptions, although others saw it as unforgettable human drama.
It told the story of a concert pianist whose hands were mangled in an accident, and of a surgeon who, in a miraculous operation, grafted new ones on him from a newly-dead donor.
Unfortunately the deceased donor was an executed murderer, and the new hands had a will of their own. (Although an original script, it might have reminded movie buffs of a similarly-themed silent film of 1924,
