Brazils president Jair Bolsonaro says his government lacks the resources to fight the fires and said that countries that give money to preserve the amazon interfere with brazils sovereignty. But conservationists have blamed his government for whats happening, saying the president has encouraged the clearing of land by loggers and farmers. In a televised address, he said that wildfires could happen in any country and shouldnt be used as an excuse for international sanctions.
